Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to achieve support and coordinate efforts to maximize the effectiveness of the Sales, Marketing, and Product Management goals and initiatives.
Direct all business development activities including maintaining a strong presence and building the SUN brand within the Fluid Power industry, proven to be the thought leader and marketer of products to enhance value to our customers.
Stay abreast of the technological landscape, behaviors, disruptive threats and other relevant trends. Reports on and reacts to such trends, threats, and opportunities as appropriate.
Facilitate data-driven thinking and action by identifying and sharing opportunities and by working with potential users on decision-making requirements and the execution of analyses as appropriate
Govern, steward, integrate, analyze, and report sales and marketing data to be used in achieving key business objectives.
Act as coach to a group of direct reports by leveraging strengths and identifying areas for development that builds on the overall capabilities of the team to support the business.
Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and key staff members to generate sales and marketing plans that translate into executable sales with our Global Sale Channel Partners, Integrators and OEMs.
Be a champion to develop and execute work to improve end-to-end product rationalization and product performance throughout the company
Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team in setting budgetary, strategic, and tactical direction for the team
Manage executive-level priority conflicts resulting from the functional goals of global organizations being at times in conflict with those of the broader organizational goals in a discreet and collaborative way
Bachelor’s degree, mandatory; Master’s degree in a related field preferred. Alternatively, a combination of education and work experience will be considered.
Possesses minimum (10) ten years of current sales and marketing experience, (5) five years of which must be serving in a functional leadership capacity, demonstrating ability to apply knowledge and skills in a business environment and attain objectives. Preferably possesses a minimum of (15) fifteen years of fluid power or equivalent industry experience.
Experience with Distributors, mid-large OEMs, and Tier-1 suppliers in the agriculture, construction and industrial markets. Skilled at gathering market intelligence in these markets to develop product roadmaps that aid in market share growth in these segments.
Familiarity with M & A activities, and Post Merger Integration (PMI) of engineering groups
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Proven capability in working with a business operating team in a collaborative manner to drive business results
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a global team
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time including international travel.
Strong Familiarity with:
Fluid power (preferred) or automotive industry globally.
Solenoids and hydro-mechanical valve design, on-board and embedded electronic controls.
Basic Understanding of:
Hydraulic system design and functions
Manufacturing processes for high-pressure fluid control products
