The Vice President of Revenue Cycle leads, oversees and manages a centralized revenue cycle structure for the Health System, encompassing six hospitals (University Hospital, Children's Hospital, East Campus Hospital, Heart and Surgical Hospital, Behavioral Medicine Center, and LLUMC- Murrieta), which includes pre- certification, verification, financial counseling, registration, medical records (both hospital and UHC medical record departments), coding, charge capture, charge master maintenance, claims submissions, accounts receivable management, collections, denial and appeal management as well as bad debt collections. Leads, oversees and manages over 600 employees and is responsible for the collections of over $ 1 billion in net patient revenue and over $ 40 million in budgets. Requirements:
Master's Degree in business or health care related field. Ten or more years of experience managing a large, complex accounts receivable department in a medical center. Extensive working knowledge in the areas of patient registration/access, hospital accounts receivable, AR cash management, managed care contracting, health information management, coding, industry regulatory requirements, business office operations financialreporting and revenue cycle IT. Extensive experience in managing the overall revenue cycle with very specific experience in process re-engineering, work flow design, and AR deficiency management. Must be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration:
Certified Public Accountant, Certified Healthcare Financial Profession, or other relevant certification preferred.
