Ensure product integrity by providing strategic leadership and establishing a common quality vision, culture, structure, and management system.

Improve the efficiency of the Quality organization through effective leadership, individual and group training, and process improvement.

Implement  quality system that supports a diverse mix of high-reliability products for space, military and commercial products and systems sold directly to government agencies, prime contractors, and commercial customers.


Establish creditability and rapport with internal and external customers. Interact with customers in a collaborative and proactive manner to engender improved customer satisfaction.   


Assess the existing quality program structure, talent and performance with the goal of prompt improvement in the production of reliable products.


Develop, implement  and monitor quality systems and procedures that ensure compliance with customer requirements while supporting targeted cost, schedule and budget.


Negotiate with current and potential customs to establish contractual quality requirements and quality statements of work that are cost effective while ensuring product reliability.


Team with the Supply Chain organization to develop and implement supplier quality processes that support the integrity of purchased parts, assemblies and services at an appropriate cost with on-time delivery.


Work closely with the program teams and the functional organizations to ensure that all phases of the customer cycle, from early customer involvement through post-delivery support are meeting or exceeding the requirements for mission success.


Ensure that manufacturing engineering, operations and design engineering interact sufficiently throughout the product planning and design phases to ensure a seamless transition to production.


Facilitate the implementation of manufacturing processes controls and variability reduction.  Encourages the use of peer inspection and process controls to improve the efficiency of assembly and test functions.

Provide independent evaluation of technical gate reviews (SRR, CDR, TRR) to ensure technical rigor is being applied to the process.

Manage internal and customer quality audits to ensure compliance to customer requirements.  Provides timely and accurate responses to surveys and audits.

Manage the quality organization's budget in support of the company's goals and objectives.


Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required, Master's degree or MBA is preferred.


Minimum of 10 years well-rounded experience in progressive manufacturing and quality management is required as well as experience working with DCMA and major aerospace, defense, and space prime contractors.
