Vice President, Product Management Global Small Business
The Vice President, Product Management Global Small Business (SB) will lead the product management, strategy, platforms and value added solutions and roadmap to execute and ensure maximum penetration of market segments. The successful candidate will manage and maintain existing product lines end to end on an on-going basis, including vendor management, conduct opportunity assessments on new ideas and concepts and provide design specifications for product enhancements to Product Development. This role will partner across the firm to embed consumer and customer insights into our SB suite of solutions. This role will lead a team of product managers who on a daily basis define business, technical requirements and manage the relationships with the Global Technology Organization as needed. This role will also work with the regional leads to develop and execute on the SB product strategy to drive SB business growth.
•Manage the product line strategy by assessing the benefits of our current products, evaluating our competitive position, and outlining gaps, and proposing solutions that consider the market conditions and overall economics across stakeholders and across the value chain (B2B2C).
• Integrate MCW services into the SB value proposition to drive differentiation, revenue, and processed volumes
•Own global SB value added solutions (ie. Easy Savings, SAC, McBiz) end to end
•Deliver SB Platform strategy including, platform recommendations, enhancements and GTM
•Develop and own the digital by default strategy for SB by leverage existing MasterCard digital platforms, bring together SB assets digitally, increase brand awareness
•Engage with regions, markets, and account teams in responding to RFPs
General Product Management responsibilities:
•Partner with regional SB teams to execute against the global SB strategy by ensuring we have a strong consumer-needs-based value proposition, the right business model across stakeholders, and effective distribution opportunities
•Package other Mastercard assets within the SB value proposition to drive differentiation, market share gains, and revenue opportunities
•Understand and help regions to leverage global best practices around product positioning and regulation – both with internal and external stakeholders.
•Act as an expert, advocate and champion for the SB segment products to internal and external stakeholders
•Responsible for overall product financial performance including P&L
•Lead a team of diverse product managers including coaching and developing employees, goal setting, and performance appraisal process.
•Drive product management discipline including: managing the product value proposition, analyzing product economics, developing both internal and external engagement capabilities
•Establish clear product roadmaps, integrating and embedding MA assets to drive differentiation and innovation
All About You
Background in global product management and development, strategy and planning for the SB segment. Experience developing segment, product strategies and roadmaps required. Product and customer segment management experience is required.
•Proven track-record of success in bringing ideas from creation to execution
•Strong execution skills, able to get things done through influencing others
•Previous people management experience in leading a high-performing team
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to present to customers and at conferences
•Knowledge and experience working with/in global markets
•Strong analytical skills with ability to drive deep product insights from data
•Outstanding communication and presentation skills
•Ability to take independent action and interact with varying levels of leadership across the organization and with internal and external clients
•Approximately 20% international travel required
•Undergraduate degree required. MBA preferred
