Job Description

The Vice President of Product Management leads the identification, definition, design, and commercialization of all digital products and services. This role manages lifecycle product development led by Product Line Managers (PLMs) and service implementation led by Implementation Managers.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead identification, definition, design, and commercialization processes of digital products and related services.
  • Lead digital product teams.
  • Lead marketing development of digital products and related services, working with Marketing and Business Development functions.
  • Lead the commercialization process of digital products and related services, including proposals, pricing, commercial terms, etc.
  • Guide and support Business Development functions on the sales process of digital products and related services.
  • Lead the cooperation and collaboration of all relevant ABS groups, particularly ABS Wavesight, ABS Group, Sustainability, Engineering, Technology, Operations, and Business Development functions.
  • Enhance ABS client relationships through digital products and service offerings.


What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • MBA strongly preferred.
  • At least fifteen (15) years of industry experience with significant demonstrated expertise in digital technology and business applications is generally required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Significant experience in digital technology commercialization as well as overall business operations.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in product development, sales, and business development with a global market focus.
  • Strategic, innovative, and analytical thinker with the ability to define an overall strategy with creative ideas and processes.
  • Knowledge to review the look into the details of a project and interpret the impact of key business drivers.
  • Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing, maintaining, and growing strategic industry relationships and effectively establishing, maintaining, and increasing credibility, externally and internally.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent presentation skills, especially in groups, conferences, panels, and client-facing environments.
  • Ability to learn the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.


It Would Be Nice If You Had

  • Prior maritime industry experience.

Reporting Relationships:

This person would report to an executive-level position and may have direct reports, including Product Line Management Teams, Managers, Directors, and individual contributors.

Working Conditions:

Work will typically be performed in an office environment. The professional may travel frequently to visit ABS offices, clients, and other external parties and occasionally to shipyards and other work sites. This travel may include international trips, including overnight travel. This is subject to often extensive time demands and requirements for skillful maintenance of diverse interpersonal relationships. #dice
