Job Summary

This role is responsible for creating and managing an integrated product set across all elements of the Deluxe’s Digital Marketing Services portfolio. The Vice President will oversee the individual product teams to drive consistency within a unified product offering set and overall roadmap consolidation and integration. The Vice President will be a critical team member in setting forth the strategy of the business unit as it continues to expand its suite of products and services through internal organic and inorganic programs.

Job Functions

  • Managing five direct reports and an overall team of 40 plus. Product Marketing, Product Management and Operations will report directly to the Vice President.

  • Providing strategic direction for the overall portfolio of product/service solutions, and executing innovative strategies to achieve business objectives and goals. The Vice President will manage the portfolio of products through the entire product life cycle, including new product ideation, business case development and funding, product development, market launch, market acceptance, high growth, maturity, decline and end-of-life. The roadmap includes current product/services, integration, partnerships and new acquisitions.

  • Establishing objectives, plans and budgets and attaining financial and strategic business goals. The Vice President will manage product portfolio pricing and margins in alignment and support of corporate P&L gross margin goals.

  • Overseeing product marketing and messaging to ensure correct positioning of products to customers with clear value propositions. The Vice President will execute all product marketing materials including sales collateral, promotional material and positioning, work withmarketing for additional design execution where needed.

  • Being the chief advocate of our customer and their needs. The Vice President knows our customers and market intimately and ensure the communication of those needs permeate the culture. Competitive analysis and customer understanding are critical. The Vice President will maintain a clear view of the competitive landscape and promotional activities regarding market segmentation, positioning and messaging.

  • Attracting, retaining and developing market-leading talent. The Vice President will develop and maintain a reputation for success that attracts a strong team of the very best and the brightest. He/She will ensure that effective recruiting, training and development programs, performance management and reward practices are applied to promote productivity, retention, motivation and morale.

  • Providing leadership, maintaining visibility and accessibility, building relationships and promoting communication with the team by conducting regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions, traveling to remote sites, and encouraging an open exchange of ideas and information.

Education: Bachelors (or equivalent experience) Specify: Advanced degree preferred

Total Number of Years Relevant Experience: 10+
Specify: Greater than 10 years of experience leading product management organizations with a complex portfolio of products.

The ideal profile will include the following qualifications and experience:

  • Industry expertise with products and services sold to micro small and medium businesses, specifically with digitalmarketing solutions. Knows the market, the competitive landscape, and new technologies and threats entering the market.

  • Expertise in developing and launching products including details of go to market strategy and execution. Successfully overseen product groups and managed full product lifecycles. Managed product marketing, product management and engineering teams.

  • In depth knowledge of delivering marketing services at scale (SEO, SEM, Social, Design, Websites, etc.). Proven success has resulted in significant revenue growth and profitability.

  • Proven success in creating and leading global teams and products.

  • Possesses the knowledge of current product development methodologies and techniques.

  • Capable of influencing and supporting sales efforts through multiple channels.

  • M&A experience. Given the many acquisitions, this executive has successfully integrated acquisitions: People, processes, technology, and services and solutions.

  • This executive is both strategic and operationally savvy.

  • Demonstrated success managing and partnering with geographically dispersed teams and services.

  • Operational success managing and influencing resources in a matrixed corporate structure. Ability to work across organizational lines, command respect, and influence. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to help build relationships and effective teams. Demonstrated success partnering and collaborating internally and externally with executive level management and with all functions of an organization.
