Position Summary

Essential Functions

  • Lead integrated media planning, investment and activation across TV, Print, Outdoor, Radio, Display, Mobile media
  • Oversees media plan development and implementation
  • Develop media strategies consistent with brand marketing objectives and selling strategy
  • Ensure plans deliver upon agreed KPI’s
  • Oversee top-line strategy behind performance-based (Digital and Search) campaigns
  • Recommend targeted, innovative media vehicles consistent with media strategies
  • Complete detailed competitive analysis and US marketplace updates
  • Inform budgetary discussions and incremental funding requests
  • Maintain relationships with all levels of client contact
  • Prepares and makes presentations to clients regarding media recommendations, ensuring buy-in
  • Negotiate corporate contracts and individual program deals
  • Manage integrated supervisors and planners on day-to-day responsibilities including billing, digital reporting, program negotiations, media plan updates as well as training and development
  • Compile final plan recommendation presentations with detailed rationale
  • Manage client requests – i.e. plan changes, budget changes, provide marketplace information
  • Consistently bring new media and technology ideas to team for application/brainstorming
  • Ensures best practices are applied across account responsibilities



  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration or communications

Work Experience:

  • Five to seven years’ experience in media planning including three to five years management experience required


  • Experience with multiple business categories inclusive of regional
  • Self-Starter, demonstrates Initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Thrives in fast paced environment
  • High level of comfort presenting to clients and internal team members
  • Proven track record with client relations and growing existing business
  • Solid awareness of industry trends and planning/measurement models
  • Primarily digital: heavy online display (vertical, networks/exchanges), social, search, email
  • Understanding of marketing and communications process; Planning, buying, managing and optimizing across all channels (directly and/or consulting)
  • Digitally Savvy: Personally uses digital media, demonstrates passion about emerging media
