Description
The IGF Vice President of Warehouse Operations is responsible for overseeing warehouse and logistics personnel and the processes and workflows related to receiving, repack, shipping, deliveries, and facilities management.
The Vice President of Operations must have experience in human resources management. The organizational structure under the Vice President includes a Receiving and Handling Coordinator, a Receiving Captain, a Product Handling Captain, a Shipping Coordinators, two Shipping Captains, a Cheese Cutting and Repack Lead, and a Facilities and Safety Coordinator. This leadership group and their respective teams are collectively responsible for receiving, handling, repacking, and shipping all product that goes through IGF’s Springfield, VA location.
The job will require the individual to spend 40 percent of their time on the warehouse floor and 60 percent at a desk. The Coordinator must have a strong desire to design, build, and implement new workflows and have strong, bilingual (English and Spanish) language skills.

Duties/Responsibilities
The Vice President of Warehouse Operations will do the following:
1. Direct and coordinate IGF warehousing and logistics activities related to product receiving, handling, shipping, deliveries, and in-house production
2. Direct and coordinate all other warehouse and logistics functions, including administrative, facilities, and safety activities
3. Direct and coordinate all aspects of logistics operations, including deliveries routing and fleet management
4. Manage budgeting to ensure fiscal responsibility; gather and analyze warehousing and logistics performance to measure productivity, assess progress toward budgetary goals, cost reduction, and efficiency gains
5. Coordinate with department leaders and team members to design and implement departmental objectives, policies, and procedures
6. Oversee the coordinators’ team management practices, including employee vetting, hiring, training, scheduling, work assignments, termination, performance reviews, disciplinary and corrective actions, and continuous improvement
7. Manage product movement within and between IGF facilities to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency
8. Coordinate warehousing and logistics operations at IGF headquarters in Springfield, VA with IGF branch locations
9. Oversee facility-related construction and other projects; contribute to long-term organizational planning, including recommending building renovations and new facility locations
10. Oversee environmental management pertaining to issues such as energy use, recycling, cardboard baling, and waste and water management
11. Oversee third-party relationships with inbound fleet and transportation services providers
12. Work closely the operations captains, coordinators, and other members of the IGF executive team to participate in regular management reviews geared toward continuous process improvement
Qualifications (required)
Experience in human resources management
Experience in distribution, logistics, and warehousing or comparable fields
Project management and team leadership experience
Creative and proactive work philosophy
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and variable environment
Ability to lead and work as a member of a diverse team
Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
On-call availability in emergency situations
Physical Requirements
Must be able to sustain prolonged periods of standing and walking
Must be able to bend, lift (at least 55 lb.), stretch, and climb (including ladders)
Must be able to work across temperature zones (dry/refrigerated/frozen)
