Unit Description

Vice President of Strategic Account Development

Sodexo is looking for a dynamic and results-driven leader to oversee the Strategic Account Development team. This team of 10-15 individuals is responsible for supporting retention and business development opportunities through the development, implementation and communication of the IDology process and regional and account-based meal plan development.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Managing multiple priorities
  • Relationship management with Operations VP as well as clients
  • Directing a team of 10 to 15 individuals remotely
  • Strategic planning, analyzing complex data
  • Project management skills

Technical Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee the entire IDology process by coordinating and monitoring the functions needed to effectively deliver an account based strategic plan.
  • Lead and mentor the Directors of Strategic Account Development.
  • Meet SG&A budgetary thresholds.
  • Analyze current operations and their programs to determine future growth opportunities and potential cost saving opportunities.
  • Determine top line growth opportunities by recommending change of concepts, product mix, selling price, POS impulse, hours of operation, marketing program implemented through utilization of retail mix.
  • Develop meal plan pricing strategies for the regions.
  • Develop client negotiating strategies.
  • Assist in retention and business development presentations.

This position is a national position therefore the candidate can reside anywhere in the US near a major airport, will require 50% travel.

Position Summary

Serves as the primary representative for client accounts within a designated geographic area including policy compliance, staff training and development, financial performance, and client retention. Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the area through DMs, regional support staff and regional employees. Works in all matters relating to contractand account operations. Ensures that all employees under his/her operational control comply with all client, government, corporate and Division policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree
Basic Management Experience - 10 years
Basic Functional Experience - 10 years of multi-unit, support, or strategic leadership experience
