As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we’re looking for an experienced VICE PRESIDENT, SOLUTIONS DESIGN. You will be responsible for the following:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The solutions design leader will be responsible for providing strategic direction in leading a team of engineers in the implementation of solutions supporting existing and new client customers both in the automotive and industrial verticals.
Calculate labor, equipment, facility, and expense requirements based on warehousing design assumptions. Develop process flows, concept of operations and value propositions consistent with the win strategy and cross functionally work with internal key-stakeholders to develop concept of systems.
Responsible for the design of the solution to include resource, labor, and financial modeling as well as pricing to develop cost and pricing models.
Lead the solutions design group to respond to request for proposal opportunities that includes response document and pricing of strategic business solution(s).
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Understanding of the business
Proficient in Third Party Services including sequencing, kitting, repack, deconsolidation, and bulk and small lot metering
Knowledge of Integrated Supply Chain Model (i.e. Part Sequencing, Sub Assembly, Cross
Docking, operation management, logistics, warehousing, and material handling)
Experience developing/implementing cross-functional metrics
Demonstrated success in supply chain and logistics process improvement activities
Exceptional customer interfacing skills
Demonstrated team building, leadership, talent development, and mentoring skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, problem solving, and follow up skills
Proven skill in using data to make fact-based decisions and drive business cases approvals
Exceptional time management, program management, and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering required.
INDUSTRY ASSOCIATED EXPERIENCE:
Must have prior Warehousing, Logistics and/or 3PL experience
Automotive, Sub-Assembly and Sequencing experience is REQUIRED
Solutions Design and/or Pricing experience REQUIRED
