Vice President of Sales

Background

RSL Funding, LLC is an established, well capitalized, 15-20 person, Houston-based finance company [1] seeking an experienced, energetic, and innovative sales professional to spearhead the sales operations of our company that acquires from consumers long-term financialobligations (e.g., structured settlements, lotteries and annuities).  The Vice President of Sales position is eventually intended to lead to a Chief Operating Officer position and would be responsible for running the sales and marketing activities working with a team leader who oversees the account executives (sales force) that provides direct-to-consumer sales (inbound and outbound calls).  The successful candidate will interface with an existing marketing department which is responsible for web-based and print advertising that helps generate closed transactions.  We market and close transactions throughout the U.S.

The company is based in Class A quality offices in the Galleria area of Houston and has other established departments in place (e.g., legal, processing, marketing), with the Vice President of Sales having significant interface with these internal departments.

The Vice President of Sales will have management of the sales operations.  The incumbent will manage 4-8 account executives whose role is to solicit and close new leads, a research team whose job is to generate leads, and a director of marketing and graphics.  The successful candidate must have successfully hired and run inbound and outbound telephone sales and marketing people in financial services and must have a proven track record.  He/she will be accountable for his/her performance.  It is a plus to have had a background in the marketing communications aspects of lead generation (direct mail, web sites, digital advertising, e-mail marketing, etc.)  The successful candidate must be able to track, refine, and quantify the success of his/her efforts.

Responsibilities include:                    

Direct Mail, CRM, and Database Marketing

                                   

a.         Responsible for the detailed list maintenance, which includes ensuring the accuracy of all contact information in our many tens of thousands of prospect/past-client CRM database;

b.         Responsible for execution of all direct mail and online activities; 

c.         Responsible for budget, design, production, execution, tracking, and reporting on sales, as well as training account executives to ensure a high degree of customer service and productivity;

d.         Responsible for management and building of the direct sales team and the research team, including initial and continued training;

e.         Must possess knowledge of a CRM’s integration with marketing and phone campaigns; and

f.          Maintain close relationship with the partnered departments, including legal, marketing, and processing (back office).

                                                           

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess at least a bachelor’s degree and 10years of demonstrated, relevant, salesexperience and the management of sales teams.  He/she must have demonstrated success in selling competitive financial services in a competitive marketplace. The candidate must be organized and able to delegate and then oversee.  Organization and the ability to multi-task are imperative, along with a commitment to the position.  Much of the position will be hiring, motivating, and managing the sales force.

The ideal candidate would have proven track record in developing national telemarketingsales strategies and building a quality sales solutions for other organizations. 

This is a fast-paced environment with a typical 50+ hour work week. Compensation is commensurate with experience.  We have a comfortable and attractive office.  We offer a full benefit package, paid parking, Section 125 plan, lunches, etc.
