Vice President of Quality



Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing all functions of the Healthcare Improvement departments in order to meet the stated mission, vision, and values of Medical City Plano and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing. Responsible for the administration of the performance improvement and patient safety programs of the hospital. It is expected that the Vice President will effectively operate the department, continue the improvement of the department's processes and outcomes, comply with hospital and corporate policy and procedures, efficiently manage finances and resources, promote teamwork and customer satisfaction, and integrate the department services into the organization's overall plan for the delivery of care and service. The Vice President is responsible for overseeing those systems necessary for identification, evaluation, and monitory, reduction and/or elimination of professional and general liability risk exposures and participates in the organizational wide risk management program to ensure compliance with statutory mandates, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards of professional organizations.


Medical City Plano is a full-service, 513-bed acute-care facility with more than 2,070 employees and over 1,466 physicians on staff, representing over 70 specialties and sub-specialties. Our main campus in the heart of Plano includes the main hospital and medical offices, an outpatient surgery center, a comprehensive cancer-treatment center, an emergency and Level 1 trauma center, a radiology/imaging center, a comprehensive cardiovascular program, the Center for Lifestyle Enhancement, The Bariatric Institute, Wound Care Center and complete women's and children's services including a high-risk antepartum unit and a Level 3 neonatal intensive-care unit.

We will open a new 4-story tower in the Fall of 2019, adding 90 patient beds including additional operating and recovery rooms and expanding our Medical Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedics and Critical Care services.

Qualifications

Education:

  • MSN or Masters in Healthcare related field

Licensure/certification/registration:

  • CPHQ or National Specialty Certification preferred

Experience:

  • 5 years progressive hospital quality management experience required, knowledge of healthcare regulatory & accreditation required.
