We're looking for a professional with experience in the following areas:

  • Servo control: H-Bridge, PWM circuitry, PID loop control, MOSFETS, transistor circuitry
  • Complete Electromechanical Systems like linear and rotary actuators and associated programmable control systems.
  • Encoder Systems: hall effect, reed switches, optical, etc.
  • Power Supply: switched mode power supplies, transformers, solid state, power circuitry
  • Microcontrollers: circuit design and programming 
  • Communication/embedded systems: Zigbee & Other IEEE (433 MHz, 2.4 GHz radio communications), MI WI, Bluetooth classic, BLE, Wi-Fi, CAN bus, LIN bus, NFC
  • Software & app development for iOS, Android, OSX, & Windows
  • Specialized circuits: capacitive sensing, RGB LED Control, dimming and current modulating circuitry, USB charging, Qi/Wireless charging systems
  • Cloud Systems and associated APi’s and AAS’s
  • Web servers, online databases, SQL, and database front and back end
  • Kinematic and structural design with steel and wood
  • Cam and lever mechanisms
  • Strength of Materials and understanding geometric properties that affect strength
  • Complete Electromechanical Systems like linear and rotary actuators and their applications
  • FEA and design simulation and analysis
  • Alternative high strength materials for steel and wood substrates
  • Plastic injection molding, extrusions
  • Foam extrusion and fabrication
  • Excellent experience in Solidworks and/or other 3D modelling tools
  • Excellent experience in CAD/CAM

 

Responsibilities

  • Serves as electrical, electronics, and mechanical expert for the entire group
  • Serve as the leader of the group
  • Develop and work with electrical systems and circuits to produce advanced technology
  • Planelectrical and mechanicalengineering programs, including: defining the project, shop activities, test activities, and technical requirements
  • Review and analyze product design for compliance with electricalengineering principles, mechanicalengineering principles, company standards, and customer contracts
  • Review and analyze proposals submitted by engineering personnel to determine if projects may justify possible patent applications
  • Coordinate electrical and mechanicalengineering activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
  • Communicate to senior management on periodic overview of all products under development, and their stage of development
  • Advise engineering personnel on best methods of integrating new products into the manufacturing phase
  • Sourcing and or implementation at sub-contractors and system suppliers

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering (BSEE) or mechanicalengineeringdegree (BSME)
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Design experience with microprocessor and digital systems, electronic circuits, signals and systems, DC and AC circuits
  • Mechanism design experience
  • Programming experience with embedded code, VB, C, Java, and software architecture
  • Ability to travel up to 25% including international travel.
