The Vice President of Operations Management is responsible for the managerial oversight of the assigned geographical portfolio and staff by directing the team, implementing policies, programs, and initiatives that achieve budgeted financial results. This position will be responsible for driving portfolio profitability and designing the strategic vision for the region and ensuring that all goals align with the overall company goals. This position manages a team of Property Managers and Senior Property Managers that each manage a portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities -

  • Oversees the operating performance of and compliance with Company Field Operations procedures and policies by reviewing financial pricing models and marketing plan(s), conducting operational and financialaudits, and developing corrective action plans to achieve stated goals and objectives
  • Reviews turn bids and purchase orders to minimize turn costs and maximize efficiency of the turn cycle
  • Reviews activity reports, budgets, and financial statements and tracking progress toward occupancy, pricing and operating revenue and expense goals and objectives; takes corrective actions
  • Provides regional oversight for asset preservation and optimization of revenue to include physical evaluation of properties as indicated by property information Reporting
  • Assists with the implementation of resident retention programs; evaluates the efficiency of programs and makes recommendations for improvements as needed
  • Evaluates region’s performance for compliance with established policies and objectives, and contributions towards goal attainment
  • Leads or participates in process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhancing business performance, and leading specific project teams in developing and implementing innovative programs, policies, procedures, and practices

Required Skills

Requirements –

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Management or a related field required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a management role, managing direct reports required
  • Minimum of ten (10)years of directly related progressivelyresponsibleexperience in an operational or related rolerequired
    • It ispreferred if theexperienceis the following areas/industries
      • Property Operations
      • Real Estate
      • Property Management
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required
  • Valid Driver’s license required
  • Active State Real Estate License required
