The VP of Inside Sales Position
Sunnova Energy is seeking a leader to drive a growing and complimentary sales channel to our dealer network. This leader is accountable for customer engagement, leading enrichment, appointment setting, and sales results for product and market segments that are underserved by our dealer network. A successful candidate will achieve sales growth, conversion efficiency, and economic contribution.
This leader has the unique opportunity to define and implement processes and technologies necessary to deliver predictable results at an industrial scale. This leader will also be responsible for the efficient expansion of an inside sales workforce, capable of representing all Sunnova’s products and services to prospective customers, and for coordinating sales fulfilment through dealer, and internal delivery channels.
VP of Inside Sales Responsibilities
Sales Results: Drives all aspects of performance to achieve sales, cost of sales, and contribution margin targets
Process and Technology Realization: Sales process definition; implements multichannel inbound and outbound sales technology, including vision, architecture, and execution oversight; manages campaign process and technology delivery
Workforce Management: Assembles workforce and provides sourcing, training, scheduling and oversight
Sales Process Execution: Provides target marketing of services and products. Manages customer engagement and outreach (Direct Mail / Direct Response, Outbound Telemarketing, E-mail, social media, and other channels). Message definition, scripting, adherence and quality assurance of Closing sales, Right products for the right customers
Function Performance Assessment: Continual evaluation of Evaluates targeting, channel, promotion, campaign cost effectiveness, workforce performance, labor sourcing, and load balance
Incentive strategy: Evaluates and evolves compensation and other incentives to drive agent motivation and effectiveness while balancing pay equity, stimulative impact and cost of sales
Agent Performance Management: Manages the performance of outbound sales agents by conducting quality assurance call evaluations, monitoring agent close rates, and providing direct feedback and coaching to agents on performance to increase sales and productivity
Workforce Development: Identifies training needs for sales team including classroom training, point of need training, preshift training bulletins, job aids, and other content necessary to deliver an effective sales experience
Collaboration: Works closely with team and leaders of the existing sales and marketing teams, existing dealers, and customer care organization to ensure a seamless process across all facets of the sales, origination, and the “sales machine”; minimizes channel conflict and maximizes profitability and customer referrals
Subject Matter Leadership: Provides subject matter expertise for Sunnova products
Communications and Reporting: Provides daily, weekly, and monthly reports on leads, sales, and agent performance for management, and other reports as requested.
10+ years’ experience
Significant and relevant sales and leadership experience
Outbound contact center process and technology implementation / material enhancement
Significant and relevant experience in solar, competitive retail electric, or similar
Combination of sales and service experience; including inbound-outbound contact management
Prior accountability for P&L, sales margins or cost of sales
