Vice President of Human Resources

Position Summary:

JK Executive Strategies is partnering with an international manufacturer looking for its next HR Leader. The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for directing and overseeing the company?s HR plans in ways that support our mission and overall strategy. The goal of this position is to promote the role of Strategic HR and ensure the long-term success of both HR and the organization as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact as a trusted business partner with senior management by driving the human resources strategies for the business
  • Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements and lead the successful implementation of such improvements
  • Drive key HR and production operation initiatives and solutions across designated departments, including staffing, performance management, compensation planning and production payroll, succession planning, training and development, rewards and recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communications
  • Partner and collaborate with various business leaders on growth strategies and cost challenges; provide HR guidance and input on decisions and execute in order to enable these strategies
  • Work with department leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment consistent with our company values and which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities of the employee populations
  • Work with managers to build a career path for employees, identifying opportunities for training, new skill acquisition, and advancement
  • Collaborate with management team to drive the company?s vision and mission
  • Develop strategic HR plans and policies (recruitment, training, compensation etc.)
  • Ensure all procedures comply with legal regulations and best practices
  • Analyze the effectiveness of HR operations and policies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as VP of HR or senior HR role
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation
  • Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, etc.)
  • Ability to use metrics and analytics
  • Knowledge of local and international labor law
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Aptitude in communicating and public speaking
  • Well-organized with excellent leadership qualities
  • BS/BA required, MS/MBA preferred
  • Certification (e.g. PHR/SPHR) is nice-to-have
