Develops Human Resources policies and programs for the entire company, balancing risk with operational needs. Originates best-in-class Human Resources practices and objectives. Secures the buy-in of company leaders and operators for recommended policies and programs. Leads and manages Human Resources staff. Creates employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote excellent employee morale. Identifies legal requirements and regulations affecting the Human Resources function. Establishes wage and salary structure, pay policies, performance management, employee benefit programs and services, and safety and health programs.
