We are seeking a DoD Business Development Leader with strategic thinking and execution experience to manage the expansion of our DoD book of business. This role will drive the organization's strategic growth objectives through the individual's business development and marketing strategy recommendations. Reporting to the CEO, you will work with the business units and proposal management groups to conduct and oversee all current and future DoD efforts.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead an effective business development strategy for the DoD market
  • Develop and manage relationships with current and potential customers
  • Identify opportunities to expand our business within the DoD industry, including teaming partnerships and business alliances
  • Assist in recruiting and retaining key personnel and other qualified employees
  • Contribute to the development and achievement of operational goals and objectives



Qualifications


Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of DoD sales or business development experience
  • Proven track record of managing and winning large efforts within the DoD
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple business development activities concurrently
  • Excellent communication and time management
  • Proven ability to develop long-term relationships and a demonstrated personal network of industry and government contacts
  • Knowledge of DoD contractor competitors and federal acquisition/procurement process
