The VP, Corporate Technology will be responsible for planning and directing the technology functions of NCSOFT West’s software organization. This position will actively partner with all NCSOFT stakeholders to ensure quality, security and stability of our technology tools and processes. Incumbent will be recognized as the thought leader for architecting, and deploying new innovation that advance the creative experience our customers have with our products and services. This role will also include identifying opportunities for extending our business into other emerging and adjacent technologies, digital platform services and AAA opportunities in our core business. 


  • Develop NCW’s technology vision and translate emerging technologies into applications for new or enhanced software products
  • Partner with HQ to transfer technologies developed into the western geographies
  • Establish technology policy and protocols for NCW and ensure compliance
  • Acquire and Deploy technologies to optimize the efficiency and quality of NCW products
  • Plan and oversee the implementation of technologies to support development for new gaming platforms
  • Manage strategic analysis of technology, market trends and competition
  • Establish process for effectively incubating new technology within the NCW ecosystem
  • Negotiate major technologyinvestments and licensing deals and contracts
  • Support the development and execution of a long-term growth strategy for the business
  • Interact with executives and management to keep abreast of global initiatives
  • Proven ability to build and manage a successful team
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs


  • Proven ability to manage technical infrastructure that scales globally
  • Ability to track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms, programs and policies
  • Knowledge of a variety of games/entertainment business models including international markets
  • Proven track record of designing, developing and deploying technologies successfully
  • Successful track record in developing, managing and delivering against business objectives


  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience delivering data-driven results, analysis and application of findings
  • Proven communication, writing and organization skills
  • Additional consideration will be for Spanish written and verbal skills in working with Latin America and one of the primary Asian languages as well
