PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages all aspects of the Departments of Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Dermatology. The scope of these responsibilities includes over 350 senior staff physicians, 950 support staff, 300 resident and fellow trainees, more than $50 million in annual research and over $1 billion in annual budgeted revenues.
- Proactively supports the mission and vision of the Henry Ford Health System (HFHS). Demonstrates and expects others to demonstrate personal professional behavior, consistent with the Henry Ford Health System mission, vision and values.
- Performs personnel functions including interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals and disciplinary action as necessary.
- Administers budgetary goals and objectives for effective operations; analyzes financial performance and sets corrective actions
- Responsible for the implementation of work group business plans and objectives. Provide ongoing management and coordination for operational workgroups.
- Works on projects as assigned by area, workgroup and business unit. Integrates operations with other workgroups or business unit areas.
- Responsible for the early identification of industry trends that could potentially pose opportunities for business development. product line development, and joint ventures.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care services and rules of accrediting bodies. Ensures compliance with all internal HFHS compliance standards.
- Coordinates activities necessary to optimize clinical, financial, and satisfaction outcomes.
- Responsible for strategic, programmatic growth and transformative care delivery.
- Responsible for daily business operations to bring about change (metrics, physician productivity).
- Build strong communication and physician/faculty relationship skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Business Administration and significant work experience (10 or more years) that match well with the qualifications of this position.
- Ideal candidate would have work experience with broad. understanding of all aspects of health care services.
