Lutron Electronics.,Inc has an immediate opening for a Senior Director / VP Marketing Communications located in our Coopersburg, PA World Headquarters. In this position, you would be a key part of the Marketing and Communications team. A successful Senior Director / VP Marketing Communications will manage the business, quality, creative services, and operations of the global marketing communications function, comprised of an "in-house agency"; and external creative and PR agencies in the U.S.

Contributions & Responsibilities:

Lead the creation of exceptional marketing communication materials to help grow sales.

Measure, assess, and improve the impact of communications materials programming with rigorous deployment of contemporary measurement tools. Collaborate directly with business leaders, sales managers, senior management, and marketing on the creation of communications strategy. Drive the creation of a consistent look and feel, to represent each of the Company's various businesses. Annual planning and budget.

3D modeling/rendering

Copy writing

Video production

Digital and Social:

Creative content for Web

Digital vehicles

All forms of social media

Publisher and editor relations

Customer Experiences:

Trade shows

Customer experience and training centers

Displays and sales demos




Media relations

Agency management


Advertising strategy

Publisher and editor relations



BS Degree in Communications is required.

  • 18+ years of experience in marketing communications or related areas, with successively higher and broader roles, culminating in a senior management role (director or higher) leading a marketing communications group.
  • Corporate experience (i.e. not solely experienced in a creative agency).
  • A proven track record of delivering impactful campaigns and collateral, ideally in both B2B and B2C models.
  • Experience in measuring the effectiveness of marketing communications campaigns in driving traffic into the sales funnel using both traditional and digital initiatives.
  • A track record of developing people (The Company "in-house agency" is comprised of more than 70 people.)
  • Experience in storytelling and communications materials delivery around both aesthetic/design and functional products. An ability to recognize and communicate the "magic" in products/solutions.
  • A proven ability to work in a matrixed organization, where consensus-building and influencing skills are paramount.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Global experience a plus.
  • This position reports to VP, Commercial Systems and Communications. The role will entail direct interaction with the CEO, President, Chairman, VPs of Sales and the Business Unit heads.
