It’s not lost on us that we’re looking for the new creative mind behind what’s perceived as a less-than-creative industry. Good thing we’ve built a reputation as thought leaders and innovators in our space.

Here’s a little about us: We’re a multi-billion-dollar company primarily known as a components supplier. In 1883, our founders started a humble bedding manufacturing business. Since then, we’ve grown into a global company with more than 22,000 employees! We’ve had increasing stock dividends for the last 47 consecutive years, and we’re not afraid to make big investments and try new things. We’re constantly evolving.

And you? You’re an exceptionally smart, ambitious, and fearless competitor, capable of crafting big picture marketing strategies, as well as the plans to carry them out. You’re the person your friends point to when asked: “Who is the most energetic and creative person you know?” You love to think, create, strategize, and develop.

If this sounds like you, you might be our next VP of Marketing for the Bedding Group. In this role, you’ll find yourself the public face of Leggett & Platt for the bedding industry. You’ll advocate for the consumer, recommend bold marketing moves, and ensure our message is conveyed in the right way to the right audiences.

A fair warning: this role reports directly to senior executive leadership and is responsible for all aspects of developing and branding the product line. It’s a lot of responsibility. If that scares you away, you’re not our person.

What we’re looking for -

Background: Education and experience are important. If you don’t have at least a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of marketing experience, you aren’t our top choice.
Additionally, you’ll need an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to calculate risks and place smart bets.

Location: Ideally, this role will be based out of our Corporate headquarters in Carthage, Missouri. If you don’t live in the immediate area, you’ll need to at least be onsite numerous days per week.
