Job Description

As the Vice President of Marketing, you will be the senior-most marketing leader within the organization, reporting directly to the CEO. In this role, you will have end-to-end ownership of all aspects of the company's marketing efforts. We are seeking a highly experienced brand builder who possesses a deep understanding of both consumer and enterprise marketing. The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate as a player coach, combining hands-on execution with strategic leadership. Strong management skills and the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing marketing team are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Lead the creation and management of the company's brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging, positioning, and visual representation across all channels.
  • Develop a deep understanding of target audiences, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Drive integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, print, events, and other relevant platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and customer success, to align marketing efforts with business goals and objectives.
  • Build and manage a high-performing marketing team, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to foster professional growth and achieve results.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate campaign effectiveness and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Effectively manage the marketing budget, allocating resources and investments to maximize ROI.
  • Define e-commerce and digital marketing strategy focused on driving demand and customer acquisition
  • Perform a broad variety of tasks in support of the role and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • Proven track record (10+ years) of success in senior marketing leadership roles, preferably as a Vice President of Marketing or a similar position.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and elevating brand identity and recognition in both consumer and/or enterprise markets.
  • Experience working in a start-up or in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, content marketing, SEO, SEM, and email marketing.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced degree preferred

  • Experience working in the healthcare or digital health space
  • Global experience and mindset

LocationAt Butterfly we offer a hybrid work environment. For most employees, this means part time in the office (two or more days a week). This is a hybrid position and will be based out of our office in New York City, NY.

Compensation

Minimum full-time salary range between $250,000 - $275,000 + bonus + equity + benefits
