Position Summary:

The Vice President, Market Operations, provides executive leadership and delivery management for Lumeris partners to drive overall solutions' outcomes. As member of the Market Operations team, this individual will have a critical role in driving client performance and achieving targeted outcomes for health system and provider accounts.Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities

The VP of Market Operations will oversee population health operations for Lumeris' health system customers, including the following activities:

Internal Operations


  • Collaborate across stakeholders to ensure an effective operating strategy is identified for the account
  • Define and implement contingency planning activities and scenarios to ensure service excellence
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, reengineer, simplify and improve upon the customer experience

Market Operations

  • Provide leadership and accountability for performance and results of Population Health Services Organization (PHSO) operating partnerships with health systems and providers in a given market
  • Drive the development of annual operating plans to optimize revenue realization under client value-based contracts
  • Lead matrixed teams of operators, clinicians, technologists, and program managers to drive performance
  • Partner closely with client account leadership to ensure seamless interface to customers
  • Work closely with quality and clinical leadership to identify and prioritize key clinical measures and initiatives and then provide support to execute against these priorities
  • Lead the reporting out of metrics and operational performance dashboards for customer executives
  • Provide guidance and leadership to produce positive results for complex deliverables surrounded by ambiguity
  • Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships

Internal Strategy


  • Identify and report to leadership on opportunities to enhance the Lumeris solution and delivery approach
  • Participate in cross-market discussions to identify opportunities to deploy or export newly identified best practices

Experience, Qualifications, and Education


  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA ,Masters in Health Administration, or similar degree preferred
  • 10+ years experience working in cross functional matrixed organizations
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing a health care delivery system business; preferably managed care and/or Medicare Advantage
  • Experience managing IPAs and/or working with physicians and hospitals
  • Highly polished verbal and written communication abilities, evidenced by a track record of effectively communicating within the C-Suite (internally and externally)
  • Expert collaborator and facilitator
  • Demonstrated strategic and consultative approach to creating solutions and engaging with partners (including and especially C-Suite executives)
  • Proven ability to successfully build and cultivate excellent long-term relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to deliver results within short timeframes
  • Experience should include in-depth, hands-on exposure in dealing with multiple constituents and customers, including negotiations of contracts, and execution of local growth strategies

Miscellaneous Requirements:


  • Live in customer market or willingness to travel on a weekly basis to customer sites
