What we need:

Cetera Financial Group (CFG) is currently seeking a Vice President of Investment Solutions for our office located in San Diego, CA. This is a unique opportunity to serve a leadership role in a team tasked with architecting, developing and managing CFG’s advisory platforms and investment programs. This role reports to the Head of Investment Solutions.

What you will do:

  • Play a leading role in the design and development of CFG’s advisory programs and products and contribute to crafting Investment Solutions’ vision and strategy Communicate Investment Solutions’ vision and provide ongoing initiative updates to key constituencies at all levels of the organization
  • Analyze current and emerging industry and company trends and compile competitive assessments
  • Collaborate with various departments such as, but not limited to: PMO (Project Management Office), Research, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Trading, Legal and Compliance, to identify business requirements and drive timely, accurate and on budget delivery of initiatives
  • Lead by example and drive Cetera’s values-based culture


What you need to have:

  • Significant experience in fee-based platform/program development in the Broker Dealer and or RIA marketplace
  • 5 years management experience
  • Demonstrated innovative thinking and process orientation for financial product design, pricing, modeling and integration
  • Excellent presentation skills for group meetings as well as large scale audiences with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop talent
  • Adaptable and comfortable with managing change and evolving priorities
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university; Master’s degree or other relevant designations (CFP, CFA) highly desirable; Securities licenses (Series 7, 24, 63/65, 66)
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Personal integrity, professionalism and strong work ethic
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; must be detail-oriented
