Work for an incredible insurance organization based in Chicago in the newly created role of Vice President, Agency Business Development. A specialty wholesale insurance broker coming off a phenomenal 2017, their brokers are at capacity to seek out new retail agency relationships. Time to fit in research and speculative marketing is hard to come by. That?s why they need you! A key piece to future growth is identifying and cultivating new clients. Your achievements will center around a few key marketing and sales initiatives.

  • New Client Development: Research and identify prospective agency clients. Create sales and advertising plans. Initiate contact with retail agents. Open doors, conduct due diligence and complete new appointments.
  • Overall Relationship Management: Increase brand awareness. Establish referral networks. Educate producers on new products. Monitor and measure portfolio success (quote to bind, retention, etc.). Be a liaison between the agency and the wholesale broker of record on escalated issues, claims and market access.

Commercial property and casualty insurance experience is REQUIRED. This position needs a proven salesperson who knows the brokerage process. Someone who is technically savvy with marketing and specialty lines
