POSITION SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Indirect Materials and Services will lead and oversee the enterprise wide Indirect Materials & Services Center of Excellence (CoE) procurement function for the company, which includes having direct accountability for over $600 million dollars in related spends and will apply best practices to ensure the lowest Total Cost of Ownership.

The position will be responsible for further developing the enterprise's indirect sourcing staff, process, leading sourcing teams, developing and executing strategies that deliver am competitive advantage to the business, managing supplier relationships & negotiations, driving productivity improvements, and working collaboratively with all functions and stakeholders across the enterprise.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the team of Category Leaders for the Indirect Materials and Services spend
  • Continually drive adoption of the CoE within the enterprise's stakeholders
  • Responsible for leading, motivating and challenging the sourcing organization and stakeholders to assure the Total Lowest Cost of
  • Ownership is being delivered
  • Lead continuous improvement of the sourcing process and its use
  • Lead category leaders to develop in-depth analysis, category strategy development, and fact-based decisions
  • Lead the Category Leaders to use a robust supplier selection and negotiation process
  • Drive the implementation of disciplined strategies by the Category Leaders
  • Mentor Category leaders to develop a supply base that supports just-in-time manufacturing
  • Develop and implement ideas to optimize TCO
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and functional areas of the business to understand and satisfy needs and requirements
  • Clearly communicate CoE and sourcing strategies to the business units and stakeholders up, down, and horizontally across functions
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Estimated travel requirement is 20%-30%

COMPETENCIES

Experience:

  • Leading sourcing teams in a matrix procurement organization servicing multiple business units and multiple facilities
  • Ability to lead cross-functional and cross-business unit teams; interact and influence both internal and external stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Experienced, knowledgeable, and competent in process hardening a formal sourcing process
  • Strong/experienced negotiator with a proven track record of negotiating both short and long-term agreements, measurable SLA's and SOW's, index-based pricing
  • Experienced in managing people and leading stakeholders to fact-based decisions
  • Extremely strong analytical skills and detailed use of big data and data science
  • Proven leadership, project management, time management and conflict management skills

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other related business discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Indirect Materials and Services
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in leading successful teams in the areas of procurement and supply chain management
  • A proven track record of success in managing procurement teams in a matrix environment
