Reconciliation is a key corporate commitment at CMHC. We will continuously evaluate our progress on reconciliation to promote comprehensive learning per the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Call to Action 57, and meaningful actions, such as the development of programs that are accessible and effective for Indigenous People.
Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Client Solutions, the Vice -President, Indigenous Relations is responsible for developing and implementing the corporate vision for Indigenous reconciliation and improved housing outcomes for Indigenous peoples.
Responsibilities:
This strategic role advances CMHC’s commitment to respect the principles of reconciliation in all our work and to co-develop housing solutions in collaboration with Indigenous peoples. This position is accountable for the horizontal view of Indigenous reconciliation across CMHC, to ensure that CMHC has a comprehensive and coherent strategy and resources to ensure actions are implemented across the Corporation. The incumbent informs and contributes to organizational decisions as a member of the senior management team and is actively engaged with Indigenous communities and partner organizations to meaningfully deliver on our strategy and accountability.
