Perform all responsibilities in accordance with BECU Competencies, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements.
Oversee enterprise strategies and program execution of Human Resources shared services and support activities to ensure programs and initiatives achieve strategic objectives for the credit union.
Develop, maintain and implement an effective employee relations compliance management system and associated reporting, training, and controls.
Oversee employee well-being, engagement, aggregation, and social recognition insights and programs.
Oversee the development, integration and execution of division and HR & A enterprise communications in partnership with Internal Communications.
Ensure a fully integrated approach, delivery and standards for enterprise and client HR programs including but not limited to performance management, succession planning, bench strength planning, employee development, employee engagement programs, employee relations and benefits.
Develop reliable feedback mechanisms to continually optimize the quality of service and employee experience provided by the HR Shared Services organization.
Build strong partnerships and extensive collaboration across the Human Resource and client business functions. Partner with other Human Resource support organizations to enable optimal service delivery.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, human resource operations management or related field or equivalent work or educational experience required. Advance degree preferred.
Ten to twelve years’ direct or indirect human resource functional related experience required.
Minimum 7 years of experience in a mid to senior level management or leadership role required.
Experience with managing complex employee relations issues.
Experience building, launching and/or leading centralized support/service/experience functions.
Excellence in leading people in project management and ability to proactively embrace and lead change.
Experience in and familiarity with multi-state employment law, HR-related regulations and compliance.
Demonstrated strengths in executive presence, individual and team development, presentation skills, relationship building, negotiation and conflict resolution.
Ability to communicate directly and diplomatically with all levels of employees.
Ability to apply analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of Human Resources Management and bring them to bear on a broad range of Human Resources and business related issues.
Strong ability to listen, interpret, influence, negotiate, inspire and challenge at all levels of the organization.
Excellent consulting and facilitation skills.
Expert written and verbal skills to effectively communicate in the English language.
Moderate travel by car and/or trips at some out-of-area locations.
Expert PC skills with the ability to learn new software and programs.
