Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Vice President of Financial Reporting and Accounting will lead financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and related internal controls for WWE, a publicly traded integrated media organization and recognized leader in global entertainment. This role will also oversee accounting systems and both on and off-shore accounting teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee theFinancial Reporting and GeneralAccountingfunctions and teams, which includes the following:
    • Research and documentation of technical accounting issues and implementation of accounting treatment
    • Accounting close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual)
    • Preparation and review of information in support of the annual financialaudit and quarterly reviews
  • Oversee and improve controls over financialreporting
  • Document and review significant assumptions and processes involved in the preparation of financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, SEC, and GAAPreporting guidelines
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements and supporting documents, including quarterly communications with the Company's Audit Committee
  • Continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting, closing and reporting processes
  • Meet monthly closing deadlines
  • Ensure accuracy of accounting work through detailed reviews
  • Document policies and procedures surrounding accounting processes

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of related professional experience, focused primarily on Financial Reporting and G/L Accounting
  • Corporate Accountingexperience and CPArequired; Public Accounting firm experiencepreferred
  • Entertainment/Media industry experiencepreferred
  • Experience leading both on-shore and off-shore teams
  • Experience implementing ERP systems and expanding off-shore team capabilities a plus
  • SEC reporting experience
  • Able to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financialreporting and accounting issues
  • Outstanding leadership skills, including successful track record of team building, thought leadership, and quantifiable business accomplishments
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to make effective presentations to senior level executives and large groups
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and priorities and re-prioritize as necessary to align with current business needs
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office applications including advanced Excel
  • JD Edwards and TM1 experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field of study required
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or closely related field of study strongly preferred
