A market leading transportation and logistics technology solutions provider is seeking to identify a Vice President, Finance to join their Executive Leadership Team. The Vice President, Finance and their team will effectively budget expenses and forecast revenue; guide meaningful and quantitativefinancial planning; expertly evaluate business model(s), market segment and M&A growth opportunities; partner with the leadership team to drive smart financial and business decisions, and play a significant leadership role in the operations, culture and growth of the company. Responsible for partnering with the President and leadership team to drive business planning and forecasting in conjunction with execution in the business unit. Develops business metrics and strategic planning tools that drive results. Conducts complex analysis based on a broad understanding of accounting, financial and product models, internal business systems and processes, and knowledge of products and services. Responsible for financial and non-financial planning and analysis and for planning and implementation of accounting and reporting systems. Acts as Division financial head for a subsidiary of a US based publically traded company.



?      Lead company?s annual strategic planning and budgeting process and quarterly forecasting process; prepare and monitor the company?s long-range strategic planning models.

?      Provide financial modeling and analysis for new product development, acquisitions, long-term contracts and otherad-hocfinancial projects.

?      Manage internal financial and business reporting to provide management with timely and useful information to facilitate business decisions and drive business performance.

?      Provide detailed SaaS metrics analysis.

?      Conduct complex analysis of product usage to understand the trends resulting from economic, competitive, and seasonal influences that affect the organization?s revenue.

?     Provide analysis that identifies and answers key strategic issues and opportunities within the business unit.

?      Lead the analysis, commentary and presentation material for the monthly and quarterly financial review meetings.

?      Proactively seek opportunities to improve planning and reporting processes. Benchmark performance against competition when available and identify business, financial trends, and variances to plan.

?      Develop and maintain a core understanding of business and products.



Manages 15-20 total team. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. 

 ?      Build a business partner-oriented Finance and Accounting team and establish strong business partner relationships with functional department heads.

?      Build relationships and partnerships across departments to thoroughly understand how all the pieces fit together, how information is and can be used by various functions within the business.

?      Build strong executive partnerships and maintain significant interaction with the President and Division executive team.

?      Promote a culture of teamwork, innovation, risk taking and continuous process improvement within the organization.

?      Build a world class team by employing top notch talent, emphasizing the career development of staff, and training critical skills.

?      Inspire staff to consistently incorporate company vision, mission, values and goals in support of business needs.



?      Requires 10+ years progressively responsibleexperience (at least 4 years in management) in a mix of Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.

?      Experience and competence in all financial disciplines with an emphasis on financial planning and analysis, business results, M&A, and optimization.

?      Direct experience with SaaS (or cloud based) B2B services preferred.

?      Prior successful experience managing financial aspect of significant enterprise system implementation (i.e. ERP, CRM, FAS, etc) strongly preferred.

 ?      Proven success as a savvy financial executive with the ability to aggressively and creatively drive results within dynamic, growth-oriented companies which ideally have a high-transaction, subscription sales model (e.g. SaaS, e-Commerce).

?      Excellent quantitative analysis skills (data interpretation, business model building, results tracking); able to analyze data to create actionable recommendations.

?      Strong knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling, rolling budgets, and profitability analysis.

?      Strong results orientation and accountability.
