Summary/Primary Role:

The Odyssey Vice President, Finance (Multimodal Global Solutions) will be a business partner to the President of the Multimodal Global Solutions division, assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and the company's long-term strategy. This position will develop and maintain tools to provide critical financial and operational information to the President and Corporate Finance team and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analysis of financial results and developing recommendations, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and usefulness of financial and management reporting that will be used for decision making by the division's president
  • Manage all data or financial related tasks that pertain to the division
  • Partner with leadership cross-functionally to develop and implement strategic business and financial plans and execute key operating initiatives
  • Working with the business unit finance leaders, oversee the preparation and maintenance of regular financial planning reports including budgets and monthly P&L forecasts
  • Develop and execute analysis of various new business initiatives such as opening new facilities and asset acquisitions
  • Develop and maintain a capital budget
  • Create and maintain a variety of operating metrics, reports and dashboards to ensure optimal financial performance of the business units and division
  • Deliver actionable insights to the business based on financial and/or industry analysis
  • Serve as key member of MGS synergy team, ensuring the financial impact of all synergies related to the AFF acquisition are tracked and monitored against plan and ensuring synergy opportunities are recognized and maximized throughout the company
  • Assist with the vetting process of any potential acquisitions in MGS division, providing advice to President and corporate M&A team on potential synergies or other data that might impact company valuation
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses for the MGS division as required

Qualifications & Key Skills:

(The following are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills or ability required for this position).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required. MBA preferred
  • 8 years experience, with 5+ years as financial leader for organization, with strong FP&A and/or M&A experience
  • Senior management/board analytical support including financial and strategic modeling, forecasting and investment/ROI analysis
  • Extensive reporting experience, including ability to clearly articulate financial results to an audience with a wide range of financial acumen
  • Significant experience with budget and forecasting
  • Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuous improvement attitude; ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices
  • Experience with ERP systems and business planning systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Approximately 33% travel is required for this position
