Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Vice President, Engineering will interact with technical teams, program managers, technical directors, general managers, as well as business development and our valued customers.

The position will oversee, coordinate, and analyze product development programs for the maturity of development and determine their viability for transitioning to production. The candidate will also have an opportunity to manage large size strategic programs and lead a team of engineers, team leaders, group leaders and directors to complete the program goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compliance of current strategic programs
  • Review requirements for new opportunities for optimally pricing the quotes for development programs
  • Handle product and technology innovation for customer needs and platform requirements
  • Finalize technical concepts as a part of proposal preparation process
  • Take initiatives in writing RFP, BAA, RFQ based on Business Development department request
  • Facilitate in optimal utilization of engineering resources and ensure compliance to customer development
  • Assist general manager in recruitment of staff, training and merging the talent in division directorates
  • Monitor all technical challenges that arise during execution of strategic programs and ensure timely resolution

Experience Guidelines:

  • Master's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Avionics
  • 3-5 years of hardware/software management experience
  • Experience in forming technical judgement about system architecture and/or system designs
  • Demonstrated track record of leading engineering organization with multiple functional areas
  • Ability to lead and manage a large size military technology development programs
  • Experience in writing proposals in response to RFP, RFT, RFQ & BAAs
  • Proven experience in leading and managing large size military programs and projects
