Analyze credit requests from new and existing large commercial and industrial clients. Provide senior CRM officers with credit recommendations on loan transactions with focus on leveraged lending. Work with the business to find constructive solutions to credit issues. Ensure credit team receives information necessary to complete transaction analysis. Conduct analysis and documentation of credit decisions including credit memos, financial forecasts, and credit risk rating models. Monitor portfolio of existing credits for warning signs of potential deterioration of credit profile. Maintain an active view of single name, sector, and industry trends and communicate with senior CRM management and the onsite regulatory team.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, or related field of study and six (6) years of experience in the position offered or six (6) years of experience as a Vice President, Assistant Vice President, Associate, or related occupation in the financial services field.
Requires six (6) years of experience with: Assessment, mitigation, and management of credit risk associated with corporate lending and trading; assignment of internal ratings, including probability of default, and loss given default; leveraged finance or high yield financing, including documentary, market, and regulatory frameworks surrounding this lending activity; operational, financial, macro-economic, and strategic considerations of the Oil and Gas industry, including onshore and offshore exploration and production, oilfield services, transportation and storage, refining, wholesale trading, and retail; operational, financial, regulatory, macro-economic, and strategic considerations of the Power and Utilities industry, including uranium and coal mining, wholesale fuel (including yellow cake, oil, fuel oil, coal, natural gas, biogas, biomass), centralized or distributed power generation, transmission and distribution of energy (power or gas), supply of energy (power or gas), water sourcing, water supply, and wastewater management and recycling; and operational, financial, regulatory, macro-economic, and strategic considerations related to the Infrastructure industry, including toll roads, railways, ports, airports, conventional or renewable power stations, water treatment facilities, and waste management facilities. Requires three (3) years of experience with: assignment of internal ratings, including: Office of the Comptroller of the Currency-defined regulatory ratings; reserve-based lending, including hydrocarbon reserve valuation and banking regulatory framework surrounding this lending activity; operational, financial, macro-economic, and strategic considerations of Oil and Gas industry, including gathering and processing; operational, financial, regulatory, macro-economic, and strategic considerations related to the Infrastructure industry, including bridges; analyzing potential climate-related risks regarding operational or financial performance of individual issuers, and the subsequent financial risk to lenders/debt holders; advising modeling teams on incorporating climate change considerations to rating methodologies; and working with stress testing teams in the incorporation of climate change considerations in firm future financial planning and strategy.
