Develop and enhance underwriting, risk management, risk selection, and risk evaluation philosophies and procedures according to company needs and market conditions.

*** Oversee development of new programs and product lines to support growth objectives while maintaining target profit margins.

*** Develop and achieve financial goals and metrics including premium production, losses, and profitability.

*** Provide high-level expertise in technical insurance matters involving complex individual commercial risks or books of business.

*** Ensure pricing integrity of book in line with strategic plans and Return on Equity objectives.

*** Interface with MGA, Actuarial, Marketing, and other stakeholders to identify trends and align underwriting strategy accordingly.

*** Lead implementation and monitoring of exposure plans to achieve desired Probable Maximum Loss and reinsurance cost optimization.

*** Participate in reinsurance placements including catastrophe, per-risk, and facultative treaties.

*** Regularly meet with Claims to calibrate Underwriting rules with historical claimsexperience and ongoing claim trends.

*** Adhere to established underwriting compliance standards in accordance with regulatory filings.

*** Oversee periodic underwritingaudits to ensure philosophies and procedures are being followed and product loss ratios are acceptable.
