To achieve its growth aspirations in the region, one of its critical hires is the Vice President, Commercial Operations. The VP reports to the SVP, Americas and is based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The scope of this role includes oversight of an over 300-person organization, which works closely with the leadership team and business units to focus on high-impact opportunities to improve business performance, such as driving critical operational improvement, leading strategic projects, and spear heading use of process improvement methodologies. Reporting in to the VP of Commercial Operations are the Sr. Directors/Directors of the following departments: Sales Effectiveness, Customer Advocacy, and strategic Customer Programs. The incumbent will report to the Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Americas and be a key member of the Americas Leadership team.
The successful candidate will have passion for, and success in, developing commercial strategies that have measurable business impact. He/she will strive to create tools, processes, mechanisms, and automation that reduce the burden on our sales teams – and functional partners alike – in supporting sales’ objectives. He/she will will need to possess an ability to translate technical outputs from our advanced analytic teams across the company into a clear narrative with recommendations to help improve our commercial business. This individual should have experience in applying analytic methodologies to problem solving in the area of commercial effectiveness, go-to-market strategy, forecasting, customer service, sales compensation and strategic commercial initiatives. He/she must love process improvement and continually striving to do better, go faster, and win.

Lead, direct and take accountability for sales operations including territory alignments, quotas, sales compensation, and analysis
Lead, direct and own the Customer Advocacy escalations, including achievement of SLA’s to drive business growth
Lead, direct and own strategic customer initiatives that drive growth
Lead a large, geographically dispersed team by role modeling the Align values and leadership competencies
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, MBA preferred
Minimum 15years sales and sales operations experience
Direct sales management experience
Medical device experiencepreferred
Must possess demonstrated analytical skills and thrive in a detail-oriented environment
Demonstrated experience with leading sales operations
Business analytics and forecastingexperience
Strong team leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
Project management expertise with an ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects on tight timelines
