Position Description

The Vice President, Clinical Services is responsible for facilitating the design and implementation of the delivery ofpatient care, recommending strategies to improve services, reaching established goals, maintaining satisfactory outcomes and contributing to the profitability of the organization. They will be responsible and have accountability for the oversight and execution of the home infusion nursing and pharmacy products, nursing operations, clinical programs and services provided by BriovaRx Infusion Services.

This role is accountable for managing all home infusion clinical programs and pull-through projects, and will function as a liaison between the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Sales Officer, developing and maintaining the successful partnership required for the company’s mission of delivery of superior patient care. This highly-visible position is responsible for oversight of and directly performing professional supervisory nursing & pharmacy practice in thedelivery of home infusion services. The VP, Clinical Services will be responsible for supervising the provision ofquality nursing care and pharmacy services at all branches, via subordinate leaders. They will maintain ultimate ownership of the coordination of nursing and pharmacy training programs, and recognizing and assisting in solving professional, administrative and supervisory problems in the Clinical Services Department. This role will have accountability for enterprise accreditation achievement, ensuring the organization exceeds patient satisfaction goals and maintains a performance and quality improvement program.

This position will exercise considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge to solving complex clinical (both nursing & pharmacy) and business problems within established policies and practices. The VP will report directly tothe Chief Operating Officer, with success measured through reports and observation of results obtained. Theposition will be expected to create a positive, collaborative work environment, ensure that operations complies withestablished standards and regulations, prepares and oversees business reports, including annual budgets, and provides guidance to staff and acting as a resource to colleagues.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of branch-based and regionally-based nursing to include productivity, performance and training

  • Oversight of nursing agency relationships to include service level standards

  • Training and use of Outcomes-based tools (Care Exchange)

  • Accountability for pharmacy professional practice standards and credentialing

  • Lead development of Pharmacy / Clinical training to include philosophy and clinical approach

  • Lead therapy solution program design standards and implementation

  • Ongoing maintenance and expansion of pharmacy accreditation

  • Executive oversight of Performance Improvement Program

  • Lead clinical resource team managing patient denials and appeals

  • Travel as needed approximately 25%

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 6+ years of direct, hands-on clinical health care experience
  • 4+ years of management experience including 2 years managing leadership levels
  • 1+ year experience scaling and improving multiple geographically dispersed groups
  • Strong business operations aptitude including P&L skills
  • Experience with operational performance management include use of metrics to measure performance
  • Proven, demonstrated skills impacting improvement of organizational productivity and development
  • Experience effectively interpreting/translating strategic initiatives into daily operational objectives for staff
