Job Duties:

We are seeking a Capture Management Leader with strategic thinking and execution experience. Reporting to the CEO, you will work with Business Development and Business Units to conduct and oversee all capture efforts.

You will ensure proper due diligence is occurring for pursuits. Develop and execute campaign and capture management plans including win strategies, competitive assessment, customer analysis, Price to Win and pricing strategies. Prepare and present capture phase gate reviews, ensure capture process discipline, and plan for a sound transition to program execution.

You will manage cross/multiple capture efforts in conjunction with the team by collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation. You will ensure that properly prepared recommendations (i.e., go/no-go presentations) are delivered to the CEO.

Job Responsiblities:

  • Drive and Manage, business capture for key opportunities that are strategic to the company
  • Conduct customer outreach, leading customer meetings, developing focused marketing collateral to influence customers, and developing strong relationships with potential source selection candidates early in the acquisition life cycle
  • Capture intelligence and counter intelligence; incumbent organizational structures, salary data, run rates, wrap rates, competitive team composition, and competition strategy
  • Support identification and cultivation of teaming partnerships and business alliances
  • Support the execution of NDAs, TAs, and SubKs
  • Support the proposal development process and related writing, editing, formatting, and delivery of responses to RFI/Q's, and RFPs
  • Assist in recruiting and retaining key personnel and other qualified employees
  • Contribute to the development and achievement of operational goals and objectives
  • Develop and manage customer relationships at all levels; develop and execute customer engagement plans, evaluate customer relationships and adjust strategy as required
  • Develop workload forecasts for purposes of budgeting, resource planning and workload balancing among team and other (in-house and external) resources
  • Coordinate with and provide proposal management support
  • Manage the overall new business capture process; identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities based on lessons learned and innovation team recommendations
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Proposal Plan for campaigns/capture efforts, including identification of the need for in-house and/or consultant resources, on large, complex or strategic "must win" competitive proposals
  • Ensure Proposal Plan integrates and supports the Program Strategy/Win Plan and that the program themes/discriminators are incorporated into the proposal

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in all phases of business development from opportunity validation to capture
  • Excellent communication and time management
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple capture activities concurrently (mandatory)
  • Proven ability to develop long-term relationships and a demonstrated personal network of industry and government contacts; ability to expand network into additional agencies and companies.
  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to confidently brief corporate capabilities and make formal presentations to customers and internal senior decision makers
  • Knowledge of industry competitors
  • Proven and verifiable track record of winning new business contracts
  • Knowledge of the Federal acquisition/procurement process

Desired Experience:

  • Master's degree
  • Knowledge of the DOD System Acquisition process
  • Ability to travel frequently, for extended periods, and on short notice
  • Proven track record of managing and winning large efforts within the DoD
