THE POSITION Reporting to the SVP & GM of RF Front End BU, the VP, Business Development will be responsible for identifying new and expanding upon current business opportunities for RF Front End (RFFE) Business Unit in Greater China and Korea. Responsibilities include:

Development and execution of product & technology road-map in support of the vision and strategic technical plan in partnership with Engineering, Marketing and Sales

Create supporting team relationships in region to carry out and support the RFFE strategic plan.

Identify and work closely with top customers and its executives to establish Qualcomm as a sustained leader in the market.

Execute and Grow existing and new profit generating business opportunities

Manage P&L across business

Ability to work closely with internal executives and stakeholders to facilitate and gain support for long term plans based on achievement of technical and financial goals and milestones.

15 years of experience in the RF Frontend, RF technologies and Mobile

5+ years of global leadership and customer facing experience in Sales, Marketing and Business Development in related industry

5+ years of experience working with major OEMs specifically in Greater China and Korea

Ability to travel internationally, up to 40%

Preferred QualificationsIn addition to relevant experiences, candidates will be evaluated upon a set of competencies: Results oriented with focus on P&L management: The ideal candidate will demonstrate hands-on leadership in driving the roadmap, development, and delivery of the business strategy and partner closely with BU Engineering, controller and operations leadership and respective regional teams, sales and marketing organizations to achieve BU business objectives. Demonstrated ability to carry out a strategic plan with focus on operational efficiency to achieve financial metrics. Ability to communicate effectively and provide executive leadership with appropriate updates and metrics to promote the continued investment in RFFE BU. Candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development working with OEMs. Proven ability to provide strong vision and provide market direction. Demonstrated knowledge and established customer relationships in RF Front End, RF and mobile industry. In addition, a proven track record of being a team leader with demonstrated ability to work across functional groups and business units. Team Leadership: The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, initiative oriented, recognized as a successful leader who has demonstrated the ability to organize, recruit, retain, motivate and develop a cohesive and high-performance team across multiple disciplines and regional teams. He/she will also be known as being accessible and approachable, respecting intellectual integrity and valuing individuality. He/she will also have demonstrated the ability to grow the professional capabilities of a team through internal development as well as external recruitment of top talent. He/she as needed is expected to make necessary organizational changes to position the business for growth in sales and profitability. Collaboration and Influencing: The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate the ability to influence and work closely with a variety of constituencies, both internal and external intra and inter BU, customers, partners, as well as the ability to develop and nurture strong organizational relationships based on mutual trust. He/she will be a clear, open, and effective communicator across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate must have the ability to effectively interface with the most senior levels of management, both internally and externally, as well as influence and educate key internal leaders on trends. He/she has worked within a highly technical industry with technical leaders and created and maintained a strong internal network as well as influenced external consumers and OEM's. Candidate will have ability to work closely with internal executives in creating and executing to a plan and demonstrating traction within existing and new business opportunities.

Fluency speaking in Mandarin and/or Korean is preferred

Experience in Semiconductor mobile communication systems is a strong plus

Candidate experience working in global acquisitions and/or joint ventures is a strong plus

Education RequirementsRequired: Bachelor's degree preferably in a technical field or engineering.

Preferred: MBA or other Master's degree in technical or engineering a plus.N1972873
