Responsible for developing and fostering alliances and partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers within the Managed Markets segment. Accountable for developing and implementing a strategic account operating plan that ensures profitable access across other key business units that enhance Magellan Rx/CDMI’s competitiveness and market share. The Senior Director of Managed Market Solutions will lead the Managed Markets team in selling, developing, implementing and executing market research projects, focus groups, and comprehensive clinical reviews for pharmaceutical companies and health care organizations nationwide.
Integrate with key executives and other decision making personnel within account to align account opportunities and Managed Markets sales objectives.
Negotiate profitable customer contracts, direct customer initiatives and special projects.
Facilitate and manage executive to executive interactions and meetings: Lead and direct cross functional teams that matrix with customer’s business. Regional accounts, managed market’s marketing, sales and pharmacy constituents.
Represent entire business unit portfolio and ensure profitable access.
Collaborates with manufacturer/pharm relations and marketing/brand teams to proactively identify business opportunities.
Oversee publication of, and ad sales for, Magellan Rx Report.

10+ years progressively responsible sales positions in managed care/health care. 3+ years in a leadership role., Established track record of profitable revenue bearing account closures and strong negotiation skills. Experience working with prospects and customers to package, price, present and close business in line with company priorities. Proven track record in sales and marketing, with the ability to develop strategic marketing plans and manage a sales team across complex business lines. Strong financial acumen. Proven ability to succeed in a highly collaborative organization.
