Job Description

Boston Veterinary Care is currently seeking a Veterinarian (full-time or part-time) to join our amazing team. Located in the historic South End neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, our hospital is truly a clinic with a mission. All clinic profits return to our parent organization, the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL), to fund the ARL's shelter and community programs and to help care for our shelter pet populations.

We are a fast-paced, full-service small animal hospital (now seeing exotic patients!) that provides routine medical care, as well as dental and surgical services. We take pride in providing quality medical care to our clients and patients, while simultaneously supporting the initiatives of the ARL.

In addition to our excellent benefit package, we also offer our veterinarians:

  • A set workweek, no on-call hours
  • Dedicated administrative time to complete call backs and exam notes
  • A paid 1-hour lunch break, free from scheduled appointments
  • Collaborative process improvement staff meetings (weekly) and DVM-team meetings (monthly)
  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • Company-paid holidays
  • 4 All-Staff days to step away from the clinic and decompress with the entire organization offsite
  • Access to a 403(b) Retirement Plan with employer match
  • Generous pet care reimbursement and discount programs
  • Paid Continuing Education opportunities throughout your workday, plus additional time off to attend CE courses and events
  • Paid license fees and renewals
  • Eligibility for the Non-Profit Student Loan Forgiveness Program
  • Generous base compensation with 20% production bonuses every quarter and no negative accrual

Use your skills to make a difference by becoming a part of one of the best and oldest animal welfare organizations! Here's how:
  • Be involved in all aspects of veterinary care, including wellness visits, sick visits, and surgery.
  • Be encouraged to share your thoughts to improve how we deliver our best care and service.
  • Help us improve our services and continue to learn and grow as a team of caring animal welfare professionals in a supportive and fun working environment.

Full-time or part-time schedule options are available.
