This position is responsible for providing superior support to our warehouse channel club customers. This position's primary responsibility is ensuring the implementation of Supply Chain strategy to forecast and replenish Sam's Club distribution centers in addition to facilitating the smooth cost-effective flow of all finished goods inventory from our warehouses to our customers.

Identifies opportunities and develops solutions that improve supply chain efficiencies maximizes service and reduces cost.

Analyzes point-of-sale data and the impact of promotions to drive consumer demand forecasts and optimize inventory positions for customers.

Participates in direct communication with customers and work closely with Account Directors to understand sales plans and events that drive impact to the Supply Chain.

Negotiates forecast or replenishment deviations with Wal-Mart/Sam's and the Sales force.

Ability to develop rapport with Wal-Mart/Sam's and salespeople to maintain strong working relationships.

Creates tracks and adjusts all purchase orders within the VMI system.

Functions as resource in developing specific inventory deployment and VMI strategies consistent with MarketingSales Manufacturing Distribution and Customer Service objectives.

Initiates the use of exception management to investigate and resolve situations such as: stock-outs low stocks and late in-transits.

Analyzes determines and implements corrective action to maximize sales and inventory turns while minimizing out-of-stocks.

Collaborates and builds strong relationships with cross functional partners including Transportation Deployment Demand and 3PL contacts to identify solutions that resolve all delivery and fill rate issues.

Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission values code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.


Education:Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Years of Related Experience: 5-7 years related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: APICS Certification in Supply Chain management is strongly recommended. Previous experience Manugistics DRP software and/or the processes of the Wal-Mart/Sam's environment is helpful. Must possess an understanding of Inventory principles Warehousing (including storage capacity issues) Customer Service and the economic aspects of Transportation. Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
