Job Title: Vehicle Electrical Systems Technical Team Lead - Direct Hire / Full Time / Perm

Job Location: Burr Ridge, IL

Job Type: Full Time / Perm / Direct Hire + Benefits

Job Description:

  • Experience Level (Years) 8+ years 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical team of engineers and technicians working on Vehicle Electronics Systems 
  • Ensure that team meets all required deliverables on time and with accuracy
  • Track progress for the currently allocated CPM profiles
  • Interface with mutiple teams (Platform, PV, SQE, Suppliers, EE Team) to define the scope of work and set KPIs 
  • Ensure deadlines and benchmarks are met through proper activity planning and schedule development
  • Manage Root Cause Analysis - Action Plans, Analysis, Containment, Documentation
  • Serve as liaison between engineering team and client
  • Track team progress and ensure team is held accountable to performance measures
  • Lead process implementation efforts through coaching and training others
  • Serve as a mentor and leader to team, helping to solve problems and collaborate on solutions
  • Ensure all work meets client, customer, and industry regulatory standards and exceeds Automotive Functional Safety Standards

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelors Degree in ElectricalEngineering or related field
  • 8years of experience in a similar role with progressive, demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Experience working in Automotive, Off-Highway, Agricultural, or Heavy Equipment Sectors
  • Experience managing personnel: workload, delegation, coaching, training, development and disciplinary actions
  • Expertise in the domain of Vehicle Electronics Control Systems and Vehicle Controls Functions
  • Expertise in full project life-cycle for ECU: Development, Design, Testing, Validation, Planning, SOPs, Production
  • Strong skills for data analysis and data interpretation
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication skills to interface with all levels of organization including suppliers, vendors, and customers
  • Knowledgeable in industry standards and regulations
