Portfolio Manager, DTC Technology: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

We always have and always will. In this role, you will serve as an innovator with new and progressive ideas that will transform the action sports industry. As the Portfolio Manager, you will work with a collaborative team to be an extension of the Vans brand, representing their business and consumers while partnering with the VF Global Business Technology team to organize a group of projects, which are managed together to coordinate the interfaces and prioritize resources between them and thereby reduce uncertainty for the organization. You will partner closely with a network of stakeholders to implement cross channel business capabilities and technologies that will enable the growth of our Direct to Consumer business.

How You Will Make a Difference:

You will successfully manage the overall health of technology capability investments across Vans DTC Business, while performing analysis to prove projects maximize Vans overall business results through economic use of resources across a group of projects. Regularly communicate projects' status within the Vans Portfolio through updates, work charters, one-pagers, or other documentation to describe scope, timelines, business benefit, and more. You are the single point of contact for Vans business teams, regarding projects, and create a regular cadence for these updates. Oversee & Validate Process Analysis by understanding brand business objectives, goals and priorities as they relate to our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) strategy. You are actively identifying process improvement opportunities and leverage industry leading practices wherever possible, while supporting DTC Technology and Retail Operations team on continuous tracking, collection and analysis of data. Concerned with the groupings of projects along the interrelatedness of their management requirements and maximize the value of portfolio of work, aiming for most efficient and business improving return on investment, while balancing risk You utilize a consultative approach to gain deep understanding of holistic environment and coordinate execution to deliver value for Vans DTC organization. You are a strong communicator and influencer – managing communication between stakeholders, communicate project status, raising issues as needed, organizing meetings, aligning calendars, and more.You also maintain and monitor portfolio dashboard, project plans and identify interdependencies across initiatives while assist in tracking adoption and performance of initiatives, identify key areas of change. Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 7+ years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or similar
  • Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with local and remote key leaders and team members and work with virtual and remote teams
  • Strong history of Vendor Management and experience working in a multi-function environment
  • Proficiency with project-based tools such as Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint as well as others (ex. Jira, wikis, defect trackers)

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Travel by air and overnight, as required 5-10% amount of time.
  • Lifting and/or bending 10 pounds amount of weight.
