Footwear Merchandising Manager – Special Make Ups : Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
As the Footwear Merchandising Manager – Special Makeups, you will be instrumental in managing footwear product development, production, and delivery for Vans Special Make-Ups (SMU) & Open Make-Ups (OMU).
You will be responsible for working closely with the markets to determine the need for SMU’s/OMU’s and fill the void with products that meets the goal. This includes attending product launch, trade shows and key account pre-line meetings. You must provide accurate, timely and proactive management for the sourcing and manufacturing of all SMU products.
Additionally, you will work with development to maintain and manage margin requirements, standards, delivery and schedules. Attention to detail and relationship building is a must! By interacting and partnering with Merchandising, Development and Design, you will ensure all goals of the department are achieved.
You understand and embrace the footwear and Action Sports industry, consumers, and culture – including Vans competitive positioning. Supporting the product creation process is your way of enabling and supporting creative expression.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Partner with master data and planning on all logistics to get SMUs/OMUs delivered and set up in the system Work in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) setting up all SMU’s Encourage and maintain constant communication and feedback amongst all organizational partners in knowing and identifying where product is in supply chain to insure on time delivery Manage all costing to achieve target pricing and margin for all SMU/OMUs.
Work with development to hit each categories goals Manage line development against product calendar. Communicate any changes to the category sales partner ensuring accuracy of information Attend key account meetings to provide support on SMU/OMUs Attend trade shows and market visits for presentations, relationship building, and trend/market research
