Join Collins Aerospace as a Value Stream Leader - Program Manager supporting the International Customers Value Stream within the Propulsion business in Fairfield, California. In this role, you will lead a portfolio of small to mid-sized commercial and military programs, serving as the primary interface between the organization and its customers. Responsible for the full program lifecycle, you will help drive successful outcomes from pursuit and contract award through development, production, delivery, sustainment, and long-term business planning. This position plays a critical role in balancing customer satisfaction, operational execution, and business performance while contributing to the continued growth of the organization.

As an individual contributor, you will oversee program execution across cost, schedule, quality, and delivery objectives while coordinating closely with engineering, operations, finance, and customer stakeholders. You will manage program plans and budgets, identify and mitigate risks, support contract negotiations and proposal activities, and provide regular updates on program performance and strategy. This role offers the opportunity to influence business results, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and support both domestic and international customers within a technically advanced aerospace manufacturing environment.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Fairfield, California location.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for program execution, ensuring adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility
  • Reviews and updates milestones, program plans, schedules and budgets for programs to ensure that the organization's objectives are met
  • Identifies risks and opportunities, develops risk and opportunities register, develops mitigations and recommendations to achieve customer satisfaction, cost and performance goals
  • Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organizations interests
  • Supports annual strategic planning efforts for the business
  • Prepares and presents value-stream strategy, progress, and results
  • Ensures a Continuous Improvement mentality is prevalent in the organization, actively leading and participating in Lean activities to drive quality and efficiency
  • Able to travel nationally and internationally as needed up to 10%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Previous Customer facing experience as a project/program manager required
  • Experience owning and managing multiple aspects of a program/project, i.e. financial, engineering, operations
  • Previous Negotiation experience required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Technical background, i.e. engineering, quality, etc.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing/six sigma is preferred
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action is preferred
  • Experience with Change management is preferred
  • Experience with Manufacturing life cycle is preferred
  • Experience interpreting aerospace requirements, specifications and contracts is preferred
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Languages: Portuguese or Italian a plus

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
