Merchant Services is the global payment processing business for JPMorgan Chase & Co and the world’s leading merchant acquirer with over $2+ trillion in annual transaction volume. Merchant Services is a leading provider of payment, fraud and data security for companies large and small and capable of authorizing transactions in more than 130 currencies.

Within Merchant Services, the Payments and Commerce Solutions team is responsible for building an evolving suite of new omnichannel products and services that will power millions of businesses globally, especially mid-market and above clients. Coupled with J.P. Morgan’s comprehensive banking capabilities and global reach, these innovative and commerce-oriented growth initiatives will continue to differentiate us from other banking and FinTech competitors.

The Product Manager of Value Added Services, Omnichannel Solutions is part of the Product team, responsible for developing and executing a go-to-market strategic plan that delivers an exceptional client experience.

Specifically, the Value Added Services Product Manager is responsible for defining and executing the strategic plans for bringing our solutions to the next level above traditional payments that our merchant clients need to deliver exceptional consumer experiences.

Job responsibilities

  • Define, develop, communicate and execute strategic plans for introducing new product initiatives for the merchant needs past payments.
  • Collaborate across all departments, conducting an impact assessment and identifying stakeholders are ready for planned implementation
  • Partner with technical teams to determine feasibility of building out new services to introduce into the market.
  • Gather merchant insights on what they feel is needed to deliver world-class solutions to their consumers at the point of purchase.
  • Stay up to date and ahead of the curve, on new innovations in the payment world that can help differentiate our solutions from “all the rest”.
  • Contribute to project planning process to ensure all readiness activities are included and tracked in the project delivery schedule
  • Develop and/or maintain product documentation and SharePoint knowledge sites; Become the subject matter expert to support business process questions, sales presentation and messaging deliverables, and training content planning and delivery; Deliver and/or coordinate and facilitate product training and knowledge transfer sessions to impacted audiences as requested

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Masters/MBA preferred with background in a technical engineering discipline that will help determine what can or cannot be done
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience including combination of product management and payments industry experience, primarily in a similar role and size of company
  • Thrives in managing cross-collaboration across a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization
  • Manages clarity across competing priorities with willingness to roll up sleeves, always poised and positive even in situations influenced by frequent change, disagreement, stress, and ambiguity
  • Strategic and thoughtful communicator with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in some or all of the below in both the Digital and Physical merchant space:
  • Consumer Loyalty Solutions
  • Consumer surveys and interactions on payment terminals past payments
  • NFC for Merchant / Consumer data exchange
  • Mobile applications for use both in-store and online
  • Gift / Stored Value solutions
  • Private Label Card solutions
