Job Description

As UX Product Designer for KeyBank, you will bring to life the philosophy of Design Thinking for the Digital Design team as a champion of brand-defining user experiences. You’ll be focused on designing digital experiences across devices and contexts, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team consisting of product owners, user researchers, engineers and business partners.

About You
You are a Designer with a keen eye for detail and consistency between product channels and possess outstanding design skills to create intuitive and inventive experiences that will evolve our digital brand. You have an awareness and understanding of the technical underpinnings driving the client experience. You can bring together diverse groups of people to collectively solve complex business and technical problems. You put the client first and are passionate about enabling user research to drive optimal utility and value to all of Key’s banking products. You are perpetually curious, and eager to design experiences that serve millions of clients.


  • Translate complex business requirements into detailed user flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors
  • Facilitate ideation sessions between diverse groups to properly frame complex problems
  • Work with the broader digital design team to develop and maintain an online pattern library
  • Develop and maintain detailed product design documentation
  • Create assets and prototypes to support user research activities
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are properly implemented


  • 7+ years in UX field with an emphasis on interaction design for web and mobile apps
  • Ability to quickly visualize concepts for online banking solutions for both consumers and business clients
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS to build prototypes
  • Experience in supporting usability studies and analyzing research results
  • Develop and maintain detailed product design documentation
  • Ability to collaborate with front end developers and engineers
  • Ability to work in collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Develop partnerships among peers and leaders within the line of business
  • A concrete approach and understanding for a design process
  • Experience with service design and blueprinting methods
  • Skilled in story mapping for agile product development
  • Portfolio demonstrating fluency in developing design research tools such as personas, journey maps, mental models, and contextual scenarios
