Job Requirements Education: Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare. MS in Education within 3 years of hire.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years previous experience in an accepted specialty area; documented experience in leading/coordinating learning experiences and public speaking/platform skills. Demonstrates practical knowledge of adult education relevant educational content and appropriate methods of delivery and the ability to develop and facilitate relevant and effective education for adult learners.
Training: Basic Life Support mandatory by hiring date. Professional certification in Case Management is preferred. (According to LMHS Approved Certification List); Interqual Certified Instructor (IQCI) obtained in the first year of employment.
License: Current Florida RN Licensure
Other: Knowledge of Case Management theory and practices, adult learning principles and methods related to instructional design and program evaluation. Demonstrated commitment to life-long learning. Active participation in leadership activities and change initiatives at the department level. Membership in professional/academic organizations desired. Basic computer skills: MS Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Job Description Actively participates in assessment and identification of learning needs for Utilization management staff employed in the department of Utilization Management. Provides support as a change agent to help staff understand the rationale and desired outcome of change. Designs, develops, presents, coordinates appropriate learning solutions for identified needs considering different learning styles of staff. Collaborates with System Director, Managers, and Utilization Management Staff on performance improvement activities and education projects as needed.
