Fresh dairy food company seeks Utilities Engineer to oversee facility maintenance activities and manage utility projects from needs assessment to concept design phase thru commissioning.

 

Responsibilities:

 

*** Assist in developing a Master Plan for Utilities, including Systems for Compressed Air, Steam, Ammonia Refrigeration, Chilled Water, HVAC, Electrical Supply, Waste Water Treatment Plants, and Infrastructure Systems such as Water, Gas, Sewer, Electricity, etc.

 

*** Write process specifications, assess process equipment proposals from suppliers, and make recommendations for enhancements and investments.

 

*** Assess current Systems and make recommendations for future capacity enhancements, including capacity analysis, equipment & system layouts, and developing distribution networks to for future growth.

 

*** Deliver Systems that meet Plant needs, are compliant with local and national regulations, and meet performance, safety, and quality goals.

 

*** Interact with plant teams, utilities equipment vendors, outside design engineering firms, external process systems integrators, and external process control integrators.

 

*** Interface with outside Design Engineering firms to define requirements and concepts; review specifications, drawings, and bid packages; and participate in technical alignment meetings and vendor and contractor selections.

 

*** Develop project scope and cost estimates, draft requisitions, and manage capital authorization requests.

 

*** Supervise local contractors, coordinate weekly meetings, maintain schedules & budgets, and monitor compliance to local safety regulations relative to good manufacturing practices.

 

*** Coordinate development and maintenance of accurate documentation of Systems and Distribution Networks.
